Fall is such a wonderful time of the year. All around us are signs of the harvest being gathered in. We see the fruits of the workers on display at fruit stands and markets. I love to look at the different variety and colors of fruits and vegetables.
As I look on the harvest in the natural I am reminded of the great fields ready to harvest that Jesus speaks about in his Word.
Luke 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.
We are living in a time of great need of laborers to work the fields to gather in the harvest of souls and advance the kingdom of God. Lately I have been challenged more than ever before to believe God to send me among the harvest and expect a great harvest.
As I pray for myself, I am also praying for my brothers and sisters to also be encouraged to extend beyond themselves and beyond their comfort zone to reach and speak to those who are not familiar with the love of God. I am believing God for a great revival. I am praying that we, as the body of Christ, will inhale deep breaths of his Holy Spirit and feel the life return as his holy oxygen flows through us. We will then exhale the sweetness of his Spirit through acts of service to others for His glory!
